Happy Father's Day
Congratulations, gentlemen. You have accomplished the first part of your primary duty as a man.
Now for the hard part. Raising your sons and daughters to be ready for the challenges ahead.
John Adams once said, "I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain."
That was then. This is the Current Year. Raise your sons to study politics and war. Raise your daughters to be the wives and mothers of warriors.

Happy Father's Day to Vox and all the other ilk dads out there.
And Happy Father's Day to the gayest dad here.
Happy Fathers Day to all us hardworking responsible loyal fathers. You know ... the deplorables.
That is really great quote.
Happy Fathers Day.
I agree that sons and daughters should study mathematics. With a mathematics background one get can a job that is useful for society--in business or science.
I must study gender fluidity and social justice so that my sons and daugh.... who am I kidding I'm not having children.
Happy Fathers Day
Here's to the Patriarchy
Where John Adams went wrong was the third generation taking up art.....He didn't see that they would also become disruptive leftists who would destroy the fabric of the USA!
More politics and war.
Less Lesbian Dance Therapy.
Easily the most confusing day of the year in the inner city.
Here's to the Patriarchy
As the world dims to grey and the storm clouds of conflict rush towards us each of us must stand for our our wives, our children, our families.
We stand not as mere men, but as Patriarchs.
Happy Fathers' Day! Raise your children to study politics and war; to observe, gather evidence and to think; and to be honest and honorable in their interactions with others - allowing for "Tit for Tat" by Steven den Beste. The first set will help them preserve their lives; the second will help make those lives interesting and productive; the third will help them pass on solid values to their children, your grandchildren.
Happy Father's Day. Now go earn the title (and enjoy the benefits).
Happy Father's Day to the brave men who toil daily to keep Western Civilization alive by leading, protecting, and providing for their families. Long live the Patriarchy! :-)
The title is not earned, Jack Amok.
Hey Fam, Happy Father's Day to all. I'm proud to say that I was reading this blog when every one of my children were born. They are 4, 2, and 1 now so we are very busy indeed. =D
Adams should have seen the poz forming at the point of his own quill. And then burned that paper before the ink dried.
Happy Most Confusing Day In Harlem.
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of being invited to provide leadership training to a bunch of Alt Right young men, very serious, and had the privilege of hearing their leadership speak before my slot. It was a breath of the freshest air: faith, family, organization, courage, purposefulness. May God bless and prosper and protect those young warriors.
The sad irony is that Mr. Adams got his wish, and the later generations have become so elegantly enervated, that they are unable to resist obvious attacks from people who despise them.
VD: "Raise your sons to study politics and war. Raise your daughters to be the wives and mothers of warriors."
Well said.
Happy Father's Day
Most excellent. And likewise...
I just spent the weekend in my hometown with my Baby Boomer mother. She's kind of awake, but not too much. The Boomers are still trapped in a time warp that has left them in the 1970s.
One thing I did notice while driving around the neighborhoods that was very interesting:
There were several Confederate flags flying in peoples' yards and houses.
That wasn't seen just 10 years ago.
White people are waking up. I told my Boomer mother about it, and even she agreed.
Happy Father's Day!
Thank You God, For Men. Real Men.

If I may Vox...
If the ILK and followers would lift me up in prayer this fathers day. Mine is in my front bedroom under Hospice care. Maybe days, weeks months. The role is hard as caretaker, and most of it falls to me.
I take the commandment with promise very seriously, so I do my best.
I have two sons, grown now. Going through this with me.
Part of what makes it hard is that he was a devout disciple of the VanImpe/Hagee "coming back in your lifetime" and every morning wakes up disappointed and wondering why God is taking so long.
Thanks for your support of us fathers. Sorry if it's too much of a thread derail.
@15: I haven't met his wife; maybe the title is earned in his case.
Happy father's day to all you dads. Looking forward to joining you all in the not too distant future.
May our sons be warriors and our daughters shield maidens.
The title is not earned, Jack Amok.
Your reply puzzles me. A great deal of our problems today stem from the rotten elements of society telling men it's not a title worth earning, and attacking those men who pursue it anyway. That's something I figured you understood.
Your reply puzzles me.
Perhaps if you changed "earning" to "live up to", you'd be on the same page.
dadofhomeschoolers, I went through that myself. I know it's hard, but if it helps, years from now you will regret every moment you didn't spend with him at the end, and treasure every moment you did.
dadofhomeschoolers wrote:If the ILK and followers would lift me up in prayer this fathers day.
Prayers sent, dad. Treasure what you can. I lost my father very very suddenly at a young age and there is just so much I missed.
Happy fathers day to all the dads who read here. Your comments are all very appreciated. Thanks for the relentless posting Vox.
The most difficult, subversive, dangerous and threatening act a man can do right now is to marry a woman, have children, raise them with principles and religion, stay with his wife until one dies. To be normal.
Hmmm. Navigation. Useful in war. Got that one covered.
Happy Father's Day to all the parents of future real Men and real Women up to the hard times ahead.
Happy father's day. My youngest grandson was born just in time for this father's day. My son reminded me we now have enough grandsons to field a basket ball team.
We need a few more girls for a girls team.
it was probably an error on Adams' part to desire to stop studying war in the first place.
it's not as if studying war precludes you from studying anything else.
Adam's quote matches well with the generational charts linked here the other day. Nomads, Heroes, and Artists. I suppose the generation before Adams with Franklin and the like may have been The Prophets.
A Beautiful Father's Day here on Saint Simons Island.
Happy Father's Day Y'all!
More Wrath than Terror, has seized me. I am very mad. The gloomy Cowardice of the Times, is intollerable in N. England.
Indeed I feel not a little out of Humour, from Indisposition of Body. You know, I cannot pass a Spring, or fall, without an ill Turn -- and I have had one these four or five Weeks -- a Cold, as usual. Warm Weather, and a little Exercise, with a little Medicine, I suppose will cure me as usual. I am not confined, but moap about and drudge as usual, like a Gally Slave. I am a Fool if ever there was one to be such a Slave. I wont be much longer. I will be more free, in some World or other.
Is it not intollerable, that the opening Spring, which I should enjoy with my Wife and Children upon my little Farm, should pass away, and laugh at me, for labouring, Day after Day, and Month after Month, in a Conclave, Where neither Taste, nor Fancy, nor Reason, nor Passion, nor Appetite can be gratified?
Posterity! You will never know, how much it cost the present Generation, to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make a good Use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.
Letter from John Adams to Abigail Adams
My boys got me a new toy.
We're off to delete some watermelons.
Yes.
And Amen.
A student said to his master: "You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?" The master replied: "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."
You are going to need more than your guns and watermelons.

Is a start.
I'm amazed reading through the biography of John Adams how much his emotions went to and fro, any yet if I am honest living in such a revolutionary age who cannot have such ups and downs?
Gentleman do not dispair as you raise your children. As with Adams one may grow to be a faithless drunkard while another travels far from home and becomes President. God may well surprise you when he touches your child's heart.
In my own extended family my father, mother and us kids at one time were seen, quite worthily, as the black sheep of the family. But God stepped in and as I look back my father has served the Lord with all he has these past 40 years and though his days may not be long in this earth, he raised us boys to be men, men of God, and Men of The West.
Gentlemen give your sons room to make mistakes, protect them from your wife's desire to cuddle them, take risks, but always pray for them, and if they start accept them back when they return humbled and broken. Your Prodigal may turn out to be a Moses.
If the ILK and followers would lift me up in prayer this fathers day.
Praying
Thomas Jefferson said.....
I am a Farmer, so my son can be a Merchant, so his son can be a Poet.
For clarity's sake:
Gentlemen give your sons room to make mistakes, protect them from your wife's desire to coddle them, take risks, but always pray for them, and if they stray accept them back when they return humbled and broken. Your Prodigal may turn out to be a Moses.
That's what I get for drinking one of my gifts and writing at the same time.
Yes.
My little girl has a warrior heart.
It's both awesome and frightening to think of how to raise her, especially given the harsh distance between us and her mother's toxic influence.
That said... she's surviving so far.
For which I can only give thanks to a merciful God.
My main worry is the historical absence of a plentiful supply of Warriors. That girl, when she grows into a woman, will not be able to be happy with anything less than a lion of a man with balls of steel.
I pray he exists and that I have time to marry her off to him. Wherever that young boy is now.

I was born on a Saturday and the next day was Fathers Day. So my Dad always stayed at least one Fathers Day more than I had birthdays, and sometimes two, depending on the year. Fathers Day was always on a Sunday and my birthday was on a fixed date.....so he could get two ahead of me, briefly.
I'd only differ on a semantic point. Raise your sons to become real men. Don't study politics and war, learn to fight dialectally, rhetorically, and physically. Become this generations's Ivan Throne, the Dark Triad Man. Develop fortitude and courage - as well as prudence, temperance, but especially Justice in all of its terrible (as in terrifying) glory. Philosopher kings who can lead others into battle.
Daughters, similarly, though you should take both your sons and daughters hunting and to the range. Make sure they will desire men worthy of being husbands and fathers.
The small bricks in the edifice of western civilization and Christendom are the families, not the warriors or philosophers or the pastors/priests. While the state is eroding the edifice, it can only do so because it is made of clay and not granite.
Happy Father's Day to all the progenitors of Ilklings.
May your lines never wither!
Happy Father's Day to all father's here. Men built Western Christendom and men will save it.
@41. "We're off to delete some watermelons."
Show them no mercy.
Hey Vox are you going to comment on Bret Stephens pompous and ultimately false article about immigrants replacing natives?
Happy Father's Day, fellows.
Pray for my family please. It's been disappointment so far, but we got to an audible heartbeat on ultrasound this time round. A lot of months to go, so prayers always appreciated.

Happy Father's day ya wankers! Enjoy your youngins.
Wherever that young boy is now.
Starting praying with my son for hsi future spouse when he was six years old, "Somewhere Lord there's a six year old girl out there. We pray you protect her and bless her." I might not make it to see her in this life, but when he meets her she is sure to hear from him that his dad loved her since she was a little girl. This I believe will help lay a stronger foundation for their marriage.
What a glorious patriarchal fathers day.
I love how the patriarchy is back in style to stay. I adore it, it calms me. So great.
Daniel Polverini, I won't let our values die or betray them, I love you dad.
The Stang Gang is growing properly. Three future men are on the way, all named after mighty men of valor and several incorrigible assholes.
56 I'm praying, my heart is with yours. Everything will be ok, keep the faith, God is with us. Always let me know what to pray for.
It was a rough night with my cousin and I both dads are terminal, we are trying to cope. Last night, I was at gab, dads not well, everyone here has been so kind towards me and counseled me when I was in uncharted waters. I am grateful to this group.
Losing a father, a brother when your a rabid anti feminist family woman is painful. Gab has been wonderful as well, wonderful people.
Since we are saved by Christ the hurt and grief is something everyone can heal from with clarity, reality, better coping skills or so we pray.
Thanks to this group, healing was the only path; even though I have bad days, my art label is doing well, I teach yoga, ballet water aerobics and cursive. Then there is farming; our group is set to provide or sell our communities produce at 18% (up from 11%) of the communities food.
No longer am I bad off and dad would want the same too. So I thank everyone here and I stop here as there are blog rules to abide by.
@Chiva,
Still praying, how's it going?
It is a happy Fathers Day for me.
My son and I have been through hell and back together, with, and because of each other, but today we shared good cigars and drinks and urged each other to fight on tomorrow.

You are saved by Christ? You espouse a completely non-Christian way of thinking.
Heard a good Father's Day sermon this morning. He preached to the wives, told them "If you have a husband, appreciate him." His three points (to wives about their husbands) were 1. Value him. 2. Love him. 3. Respect him. He made fun of wives who want to tell their husbands how to lead the family. Definitely not cucked.
Zach K wrote:You are saved by Christ? You espouse a completely non-Christian way of thinking.
Specifics, please.
@63 Beau. Thank you for your continual prayers for my wife and I. My wife has completed Gamma Knife surgery for the tumor in her brain. The doctors think the tumor is benign and will begin to shrink over time. The side effects (dizzyness, pain) of the tumor should also subside over time. She may never fully recover but we are content with what we are given.
This has been a very trying time, also an encouraging time. Our belief has not been shaken, but our faith was tested and has become stronger.
That quote is dear, and the Lord has allowed me to see a contemporary version of it. I went into a life of drugs, drinking, crime, violence, and immorality at age 13. At 28 Jesus gave me a new life, but there was still a steep price to pay for that kind of life, mostly things missing. I got married at 32, had a large family. The oldest son is beyond "a walking encyclopedia" he's a brainiac, at least in regard to mechanical, machinist technology, and a fair amount of physics. First kid in years to pass all 3 ham radio exams in one sitting. I obviously am not smart enough to teach him that stuff, I merely (with God's help) figured out what sort of environment to maintain for him to learn things on his own.
Here's the relevant beauty of the situation: in this day, if one is careful with computers and internet, the generational thing can be accelerated. He now uses internet videos to teach my youngest sons things about advanced engines, machinists operations, and other practical things. My sons, in my house. God has mercy.
s/ Oh, and 48, 49 might be on to something. I have 6 sons, 5 daughters.
/s.
@60 LP9, despite your personal impediments your well-wishing still affects and promotes the common good. You and your father are in my thoughts.
@69 I am sad for what our failure to develop our medical technology in a timely fashion has denied your wife. Gamma rays deposit energy roughly linearly, so they do about as much damage to the tissue they pass through as the target (though the gamma-knife methodology spreads this out). Charged particles like protons deposit their energy mostly at the end of their travel, which would spare tissues on the way in more than gamma rays. We could do so much better, but we don't (yet).
offtopic, but relates to your comment:
years ago, i visited a saki making factory in rural japan that'd been in business with the same samurai family for over 500 years.
the lords sitting room overlooked a garden that was both wild looking and perfectly planned. it was simply beautiful to look at, a real work of art. you could easily imagine sitting there looking into the garden and being perfectly relaxed.
the story was, the first samurai lord who had the house built, planned the garden and it's been maintained ever since.
71 thank you, its ok to call them a disability but I can battle that.

It is for Fathers;
inuccio's family scoffs at the idea and begins arguing with Gianni Schicchi. Schicchi decides they are not worth helping, but Lauretta begs her father to reconsider by singing "O Mio Babbino Caro." In it, she declares that if she cannot be with Rinuccio she would rather throw herself into the Arno River and drown.
I am a woman whom is nothing without God and my patriarchy;
